To further protect our Members and as a step towards providing more advanced features, we will be introducing 2-Step Verification for online banking and mobile app banking very soon.
The launch date is still to be determined, but you can start preparing for enrollment now.
1. For security purposes, saved/memorized accounts will not be carried over. You will be asked to manually enter your login ID and personal access code when you are first enrolled, so keep this information accessible.
2. For users of our mobile app, it is always suggested to have the latest version installed for optimum user experience and the best protection for your data.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Why is 2-Step Verification (2SV) necessary?
A: With cyber-threats becoming increasingly sophisticated, the use of passwords alone have grown vulnerable to these threats. 2SV provides a stronger, and more secure, authentication method to further protect you, your data, and your funds from cyber attacks.
Q: How does 2-Step Verification work?
A: During the login process, a verification code is generated and delivered to your registered mobile phone number or email address. You will then have to retrieve the code and enter it before access is granted to your online banking account. These codes are valid only for a single use and a limited time.
Q: What changes to my online banking experience can I expect?
A: For security purposes, once 2SV is made available in the platform, memorized or saved logins will not carry over. You will have to enter your Login ID and PAC manually in order to access online banking. From there you will be able to memorize or save your login information again. Touch ID/Biometrics and Quickview settings will also not carry over, but once you log in you can re-enable those features.
Q: Is 2SV registration mandatory for all Members?
A: We will provide a grace period where Members can choose to continue to access online banking without first registering for 2SV. After that grace period ends, all Members must register for 2SV before accessing online banking.
Q: How do I register for 2SV?
A: Once the feature is launched, you will automatically be taken to an enrollment page after logging into your online banking. From there, you can select to register either a phone number or email address that you can use to receive and retrieve notifications and verification codes.
Q: Can I register for 2SV under multiple notification channels?
A: Yes, although during enrollment you can register only one, either a mobile phone number or email address, to receive the initial notification, you can add the other notification channel under your Profile & Settings page once logged into online banking.
Q: Can I register more than one mobile phone number or email address?
A: Registration is limited to a single mobile phone number and a single email registration.
Q: If I have a mobile phone number and email address registered, will a verification code be sent to both?
A: No. If you have both notification channels registered, you are presented with a selection page where you must choose which channel will receive the notification for that particular login.
Q: How many attempts do I get to validate a verification code?
A: During the 2SV process of a login attempt, the maximum attempts to validate a verification code is three. If you are unable to validate the verification code after three attempts, the system will automatically lock you out.
Q: What happens if I have exhausted my maximum number of attempts to validate a verification code, and I am locked out?
A: If you are locked out because you were unable to validate a verification code during the 2SV process of a login attempt, please contact us to unlock your account.

We are excited to announce our fourth season of the "Pay It Forward" Halloween Contest!

PAY IT FORWARD HALLOWEEN CONTEST SUPPLEMENTAL RULES
The Pay It Forward Halloween Contest begins October 31, 2023, once the photos are posted on our Facebook page, and ends on November 1, 2023, at 9:30am CST (“Time Period”). 2. HOW TO ENTER
Photos of Me-Dian Credit Union staff wearing costumes (“Staff Costume”) will be posted on our Facebook page. Eligible participants will automatically receive a total of one (1) Entry for commenting on the appropriate post with a vote for their favourite Staff Costume. Eligible participants will automatically receive a total of one (1) Entry for tagging, at least, one friend in a comment on the appropriate post.
3. HOW TO WIN
Within 72 hours after the end of the Time Period, the Sponsor will select one (1) Entry received during Time Period. Odds of being selected to win a prize depends on the total number of eligible entries received during the Time Period.
The winning entrant will be notified at the telephone number or e-mail address registered with Me-Dian Credit Union, or through Facebook if not already a Member.
There is one (1) prize available to be won where the Sponsor will donate $1,000 to a non-profit organization chosen by the winning entrant.
The non-profit organization chosen by the winning entrant must be a Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) Registered Charity that has applied for and been registered as having charitable status by the federal government by filing all the necessary and on-going paperwork required by the Canada Revenue Agency.

Please be aware that there is a planned outage for digital banking on Sunday, June 18, 2023, as our banking service provider upgrades our banking systems to advance stability of our platforms and improve the experience you have with our digital banking platform.
The outage window is planned for Sunday, June 18, 2023, from 2 am to 2 pm to allow our service provider to complete the critical upgrades and verify that our banking systems are operational.
During this window, you will not be able to access either mobile or online banking platforms, and any ATM or Point of Sale transactions may experience a delay in appearing on your banking transactions.
Our banking services provider is confident the upgrades can be completed in the 12-hour window; however, if anything changes, we will notify you as soon as possible.
We appreciate your understanding on the need for these upgrades and the improvements they will bring to your banking experience with us.

The Digital Banking Upgrade is coming on May 8, 2023!
If you use a password manager, memorized/saved account, or biometrics sign-in, please make sure to make a note of your login ID and password; you may need to enter it manually once the upgraded platform is live. You can then set up these login managers once on the new platforms.
A new web address for the updated online banking platform will be available on our website on May 8, 2023. For our mobile app users, please head over to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to update your app to the newest version on that launch date.

Our Debit Card Provider is currently experiencing a disruption in services which, as a result, is affecting the use of our issued debit cards. We are in contact with our provider and they are working to resolve the issue. We will provide updates on our website and social media as we receive them.
